Elkin Guzman
This coffee comes from producer Elkin Guzman at Finca El Mirador in Colombia. Grown at 1550–1700 MASL, this unique Striped Bourbon lot is a genetic mutation of Red Bourbon, distinguished by the orange striping that appears on the ripe cherries. The separation of this lot reflects a strong focus on innovation and experimentation in pursuit of improved cup quality.
The cherries are selectively harvested at peak ripeness and processed using a honey method, marking our first honey processed coffee. Careful drying preserves the coffee’s rich fruit character and enhances its depth and sweetness, resulting in a dense and expressive cup.
We tasted cooked berries, winey red fruit, and cacao nibs, reminiscent of single origin dark chocolate.
All our coffees are sold as whole beans.
