This coffee comes from Diamanté in La Plata, Huila, Colombia, produced by Diego Campos alongside his long-time collaborator Derlin Roa. Grown at around 1950 MASL, this washed Pink Bourbon lot is a focused selection from small experimental plantings dedicated to quality-driven variety separation.
The cherries are selectively harvested and washed, resulting in a clean and vibrant profile that highlights the natural character of Pink Bourbon.
We tasted green apple, pomelo, and a soft caramel sweetness that gives the coffee a light, refreshing finish.
Diego Campos has become one of the most recognisable names in Colombian specialty coffee over the last decade, culminating in his 2021 World Barista Championship win, the first for Colombia. Diamanté is a family project where he applies his experience as a producer and agronomist from seed to cup, prioritising precision, experimentation, and new expressions of flavour over volume.
